I'll have to disagree with the 3 star rating here. I'll give it 2... maybe 2.5. This film starts interestingly enough, and though possibly well intentioned, really ends up falling into old colonialist, save the brown children, missionary film-making. For more on this check link out:

Interesting take, juanito. I recall how much distaste you had for this film back in school. I definitely found more to like in it than you did. That may be my colonialist mentality coming thru...then again, I didn't recommend it! Now, how do you feel about Repo Man?
